Any luck with OEM SLP in XP Mode for Win7 Home Premium?
Hey everyone...this site and these forums have been a wealth of information for me, so first of all I'd like to thank all of you for that. I love tinkering, and the sheer amount of knowledge shared on these boards is a great help to people like me.
That being said, I'm a little stuck. I stumbled across this while trying to figure out how to get virtual apps running in Win7 Home Premium. I went through all the instructions, and everything seems to be working fine.
Except that I cannot get XP Mode to activate. I've tried using compressed OEM bios files, uncompressed OEM bios files, and I have double and triple checked that I am using the correct ones (I am using Microsoft-B4FFCA38.rar). Yet every time I run the OEMBIOS changer and restart the computer I get that horrible "30 days till you must activate" popup when the VM starts itself back up.
Supposedly Windows Virtual PC has the Microsoft OEM SLP in it...can anyone confirm that they have successfully done an install of XP and gotten it to automatically activate?
Thanks so much!
